Do any of you have a hard time (or impossible time) getting legitimate Opt-In mailers into AOL?
Is there any recourse one could take to remedy the situation, once AOL starts blocking their legitimate mailers?

Hi,
well AOL has been pretty hard on some mailers / hosts lately with email.
from what I have been told there new policy is like you can only have either 10 or 100 "spam complaints" per 1 million emails or something like that...
i don't like spam but i HATE hypocrisy. Somebody should start up a class action suit against AOL for spamming.

I agree with you there Mutt. AOL is relentless in their marketing: popups, spam, absurd amounts of direct mail, telemarketing and on and on. For them to block legitimate optin emails seems like the ultimate hypocrisy.

Ok check this out, according to this article, legitimate Opt-in mailers have to contact AOL in order to get their mailers past their filters:

Anyone know anything about that? Who/how do you contact AOL to get them to stop blocking optin mail?
