I didn't like their music but always sad when anyone dies and there is no doubt they are cultural icons.

now there will never be a Bee Gees reunion.

OH THE HUMANITY!!!

I gotta go see which one died now, i only know Barry the good looking one and the Andy who died young from cocaine abuse and a broken heart Victoria Principal gave him.

Maurice was the one of the twins (Robin being the other) that usually had a beard. Robin sang the higher parts of what Barry didn't.

Geee... was I a 70's teen or what?

I just read about his death on yahoo.

I sure loved saturday night fever, that album rocked, and I wasn't into disco really at all.

2 weeks ago I saw them on behind the scenes on VH1, great hour long journey through there history..

I am deeply saddened by the passing of maurice Gibb........

My brother and I spent countless hours as kids lip syncing their songs . The Bee Gees was the first concert I had ever seen.

A real tragedy.

KB,

me too bro. loved those tunes.

I remember the day when I was young, me and my mom (god rest her soul) was watching the news, and it said Freddie Prinze just died, she cried for hours I think. When Lennon died, she lit candles and wept for days and only listended to the beatles and his music 24/7 almost.

She also truly loved Elton John, as I do to. I even make my 4 girls listen in the car sometimes. Knock on wood, but when he passes, I will cry for her, me and the millions that love him and his music. Some ppl in the music industry have such great hearts.

Bee Gees had great heart music.

peace

whilst I didn't particuarly like their sound one thing I do admire is their song writing adbility. Their music has been all over the new raidio I have been listening to this morning and it is amazing how many songs they did write.

"How Can You Mend this broken Heart?"

How do you stop the rain from falling down?

So sad.......those lyrics would be prohetic to the families within the Brother' s Gibb :cryin:

Dokk, you're right!

They say such nice things about people at their funerals that it makes me sad that I'm going to miss mine by just a few days." ~ Garrison Kielor

You said that right Dokk - we actually did better at the Venetian than the Mirage - and that's saying a LOT. I hit the same machine @ the Venetian for $200 each time and then took it back to the Mirage to say good-bye to it. Then the Mirage eventually cleaned out the rest of my gambling stash.

Grrrrr....hope they are really considering Mandalay Bay for next year. Would love to get down to the other end of the strip for a change. :gbounce:
