I'm not going ANYWHERE that involves food until I lose at least half the excess weight I'm carting around

I love the fallen beer cans that have somehow become part of the boil :agrin:

When I was around 11-12 and living in Savannah, crawfish used to get into our street gutters every time it rained - back then, we didn't know we were supposed to be eating them instead of catching them and playing with them

We need to plan correctly - I'll distract Michael while you steal one of his cars, and then you return the favor while I grab the deed on the house! :okthumb:

Cool, I'll have to look over the collection to see which want I want first though. I know just how to distract Mike and it starts with an R. :)

Some photos of Shelby.... Every part has been ripped apart, engine re-built, custom exhaust system built, etc... etc...

Still need to repaint it. Been trying to decide what colors. I am thinking silver and black. Any opinions?

Hey Mike what did you do with the original wheels for that 68 GT 500 "King of the road"? You know the car is worth much more with the original wheels don't you.

The KR is a pretty in demand car. It was introduced 1/2 way through the year in 1968 replacing the 428 Police Intercepter with the 428 Cobra Jet.

And the car can be repainted the original color and it will keep it's value but if you change the color it also devaluates it by at least $5,000.00 (The price of a paint job worthy of a shelby)

I used to have a 1969 GT 500 "Home office reserve car" Acopulco blue with gold stripes.

I had big plans for making mine into a fire breathing dragon "As if it weren't a bad MF already". But when I found out there were only 1536 of them in the whole fuckin' world I desided to bring it back to stock original.

I'll post pictures when I can.

Bad ride!!!

ass·hole n. A thoroughly contemptible, detestable person.

*Please use in a sentence*

Ironically, the butt pirate :moon: :matey: was himself an asshole.

wow mike, that is an awsome car.

a few weeks ago im bored, so I decide to go driving way out in the country and listen to the supercharger unwind and scream on my truck.
Im coming up over a bending turn and out of the corner of my eye I see something in a field. I had to slam on the breaks and back up.

Sure enough, sitting out in a field with a bunch of wrecked cars is a blue GT500 with white trim. I can't get close to it because its behind a huge fence. From what I can see it looks to be in so-so condition, I can see some rust on the lower panel.
I wonder if these people realize what they have there?
Maybe it's not even a true 500, maybe a clone?

I think im going to steal it ;)

Im gonna find the owners and see if they will sell "that old shitty mustang" sitting in the field lol.

Shok I remember the first time I saw you at a show just sitting on a chair, I was thinking to myself.. "I wonder if these people realize what they have there?" We were thinking about stealing you until we saw how much it would cost to keep you full of beer : )

Damn Man, I have ALL original stock parts stored in my barn, including the wheels.

I wanted my guy to put the car in modern shape so I can make the GT500 a regular driver. As you know, the car while extremely fast - was also extremely dangerous.

That is why I added disk breaks in the front, as well as bigger tires, and other stuff like that. I want to be able to drive it safely....

As far as color, I am thinking either silver with black stripes, or black with silver stripes. I have a full time mechanic, and have built a modern pain booth - so changing colors will never be a problem. :D

Shok, you should go and talk to the people who own the car....

Hi Mike

Glad to hear you have some Shelby sense about you. :D

Shelby fanatics will skin a person alive for fuckin' one of these beauties up!!!

I got lucky with my 69 Shelby it had the factory special heavy duty racing kit which consisted of 4 wheel disc brakes, Oil cooler, 391 Posi rear and a few other Boss 429 parts. It was cool. All Original home office reserve car!!!

Here's some old pics of mine.
