http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2507735.stm

just watched this on BBC. pretty scary stuff from a stone age culture in a semi-modern city.

foreigners keep getting blown up in Saudi Arabia and other foreigners immediately show up convienently, for a full taped confession????... even when facing a death sentence... THEN there is absolutely no other forensic evidence supporting that they had anything to do with it... and its unnecessary because the "confessions" are enough

"A Briton and a Canadian have been sentenced to death, which usually takes the form of a public beheading. "

The arrest, and the refusal of the Saudi authorities to allow a visit from his lawyer, have ominous similarities to the case of five Britons currently awaiting a review of their convictions for bomb attacks which killed a British engineer and injured several other westerners. The first bomb went off two years ago today.

"Earlier this year a Guardian investigation found that the televised confessions from the men, which they later withdrew, had been extracted by torture. "

Hmmm, so much for that planned family vacation to sunny Saudi Arabia and Stone Age Disney in March.......maybe I'll just have to throw a get together in Toronto in March instead ;))))

Interesting timing though from the BBC....
They show the anti-Saudi programme (which has been a running story for two years)
They also show a reminder programme all about 911.
And they're just about to show the Life And Times Of Saddam The Loon.

Ever get the feeling we're all being fed the 'Them's the Bad Guys' stories before the war starts?

When it suits them later it'll be -
Saudi Arabia - wonderful land of history.
Iraq - cradle of civilization.
