POV is a cinematic term, in a screenplay you'll see P.O.V - stands for Point Of View - the scene is shot from the point of view of one of the actors,
like in a horror movie, when you see Jason from Friday the 13th looking in the window, the camera will take on Jason's POV as he watches what's going on inside the cabin - we the audience are now watching exactly what the character Jason is seeing.
