It might be worth this going to court if only to hear the lawyers and judge talk about "Slut Toons" and "Stud Toons" :groucho:

I thought you were supposed to handle stuff like this by stating that the opposing party was obviously cheating ... and if it continues, you go on to explain that they don't make enough money to be worthy of your time anyway.

 Not sure where I read that, though ...

i personally think a few of these issues should be resolved in court and i would like to see the losing party pay a huge judgement. people are entirely to quick to come to the boards with the intent of nothing more than a retributive attack against a company with the sole intent of causing damage to that company.

ultimately, i think its necessary to insure a little professionalism in this business.

there are many things that are tolerated in this business that would not be tolerated elsewhere. that is to me one of the bigger problems in this industry. Why is it ok for any disgruntled asshole to slam a company all over the boards in front of the eyes of webmasters and try to hurt your company for a couple hundred dollars? I mean I think its ok to do it, to post the truth, back it up with solid evidence and show facts.... but doing that should also come with the risk of facing harsh consequences, just as it does in any other business or person would in any industry.

my personal opinion about threads like this is that it is no different than paying for a billboard by the freeway that says "does XXX rape children?" or "does xxx steal from all of its clients?"... its not just an honest question asked out of curiosity if the person asking it knows it will cause harm to the company or individuals mentioned. I dont think "does xxxx shave your signups" is a valid question either. If you suggest or imply someone is a thief, you should also face the full legal consequences for any harm or damage you may have caused in accordance with the law.

just my two cents
