Is it just me or does this article read wierd. Those Aussies use the English language differently.

no Mike you're not alone, i couldn't understand that article either. It sounded to me when i first read it that they were saying Lasrado didn't get what he was asking for the property.

and it doesn't say what he paid for it originally does it?

i'm still not sure if i understand exactly what happened. There is a quote from him where he seems to be saying he turned a nice profit but i still think that quote might have come before the auction was held............based on the price he was hoping to get.

Hey,

There was an article in the paper about the pending auction (of course it was all over the media, he was about to set a new land price record if the sale happened) that said it was the best Barbeque spot in town - for 4 million dollars!

Apparently that's about the most he's ever done with it.. amazing! :)
