Report Description

The ISP Market Share Report analyzes the distribution of web servers in our surveys across different ISPs. By classifying the 8621365 web servers by the ISPs' networks over which their traffic flows, the report provides a view of the top ISPs on the Internet. The following 250 ISP's host the most servers on their networks:

i see national-net and split infinity and likewhoa ...

likewhoa.com 9430
national-net.com 7292
splitinfinity.net 3571
conepuppy.com 3242
isprime.com 3224

Like Whoa and nat net seem to be a class of their own box quantity wise... Wonder which one cranks the most packets across the web

... yes, I sent in my details for funkmasterhighspeedhosting.com too, somehow it didnīt make it into that list though ?? I guess 2526372 servers was a bit over the top ??

i have never seen a hosting company slammed as much as LikeWhoa.

people laughed at them when they came out with that dumb wigger name but look at the business they built for themselves.

I don't believe those numbers for a second. They look very inflated to me.

Slav...Taken from the bottom of the survey:

"An ISP is said to host a server if its name servers have control over the block of IP addresses that the server is in. Since a large ISP might delegate subnets to a smaller one, a single web server may be counted several times towards an ISP and its upstream providers."

Ulfie....I'd agree these numbers are a bit inflated since it's based on ownership of ip's rather then physical machines. Still, hat's off to those fine companies that made the list. :rokk:

If they did that survey again today, likewhoa would probably go down a whole lot.

A lot of people are fed up with their constant downtime.

DrGuile: I know for certain that 600 or so domains came off of Likewhoa in the last two weeks... mine.

I like Stan and all the people at LikeWhoa, I enjoyed doing business with them, but endless network issues, including some weird voodoo ftp thing that shuts down transfers a little too often as more than I could handle - and Bill and all the tech people at National-net have been such a help getting everything going for me... it's a pleasure to deal with in house techs.

Downtime and other issues in the last couple of months made it hard to justify keeping things there. I see that Setgo has done the same. So these numbers may not be the same come the next survey, I would guess.
