Just got a phonecall from the "National Telemarketing Abuse Center" regarding my request to be removed from telemarketing lists. They were kind enough to point out that I was on 57 such lists, and the national average is only 17. They were so concerned about the number of lists I was on that they offered to send me a "free" Telezapper, because it would take 3-4 months to get me off all those lists.

The cost for this great public service? Only $2.99 a month for ten years!!!

I used to come up with all kinds of nice little ideas to piss off telemarketers. The latest was just to say "hold on, let me get him for you" and then put down the phone. This will piss them off cause they have quotas to make and they just waste a minute or two on you. BUT, this doesn't piss them off enough to remove you from the list so they keep calling. I finally just realized the best way is to ask them to take you off their f'ing list

I read an article on CNN a few days ago about a telemarketer that repeatedly called a woman that refused to buy what he was selling. He got angrier and angrier, and finally threatened to rape her. The funny thing is, she finally quit answering the phone, and the dumbass left the rape threat on her answering machine!

Double Opt-Out lists for lists you never joined in the freaking first place!!!

You click the link to remove, and it says, we will now send you an email, and you will have to click the link in that email to actually be removed. If you don't we won't remove you. We do this for your protection, just in case someone is trying to wrongly remove you from our list.

Brillantly evil! I have to love and hate those fuckers!!!
