Looking For Stock Photo Sites *cheap*

anybody know some reasonably priced stock photography websites?

these mainstream places like Getty and Corbis are crazy with the prices, out of their mind for web usage.

I see tons of adult program affiliate sites who have nice designs using mainstream photos, think the designers just grab what they can? yeah, no way they are buying expensive stock photography CD's. Even the CD's are fairly expensive.

i have a collection of premium images (about 5000 usable pics) that is gradually building ... my eventual goal is to do an affordable to use getty ...

actually nothing in particular cj, i just like to use photographs as background to designs.

i was looking for a picture of a fat wiseguy looking gambler a few weeks ago for. Couldn't find anything close so I had to do something else.

cj there is a stock site where small photographers can upload their photos, set a price and license their photographs. like web-legal but for mainstream photography.

i'll find the name of it, my photographer Brian wanted me to check it out for him.

I've started putting together these textures for free tools ... the sorting is pretty shit, but there's some usable stuff there

good stuff cj :)

can make edgy type designs with those textures. i'm pretty much a copycat, i see stuff i like and then try to do it, without outright copying of course.

i'm going to make Billy's asshole voting page today, got no idea what to make it look like.

we've made some pretty cool looking simple designs with the photos in the 'tech' category ... just a slice of photo across the top and a big table block below it with columns of information

its amazing what good colors in a photo do to a page!

one of our central admin sites has got a rotating header graphic with about 20 of these tech photos loading randomly in it

yeah, the smaller "web ready" type images are the free ones...for our magazine ad we're working on, we'll have to shell out some $ for it...or maybe just take our own pics ;)
hmmm, that would be better...me covered in blood, surrounded by half dressed babes also covered in blood, me with my "don't fuck with me" look and of course the caption "come on fuckers, take my money" :)
