I know Oprano is more of a board full of football fans, but anyone here follow hockey as much as I do? There seems to be a distinct lack of pools for the NHL if you rule out Yahoo's pools (I'm in 4 of them) and The Sporting News (I'm in 3 of them)...

My Maple Leafs won a good one last night against Washington!

I really don't start paying much attention to it until January, when football is over ... but

I had Penguin season tickets for 10 years including their 2 cup years. I'm going to the game tonight in Pittsburgh. I'm also going to Toronto for the Pens-Leafs game at the beginning of December. I think that qualifies me as a fan. :bjump:

And I agree with PD, I really don't follow hockey that closely until football ends. The NHL season is way too long and they let too many teams into the playoffs.

For some freaky reason, my son, born and raised in Atlanta LOVES hockey! Then again, he's a sports-of-any-kind freak - I still remember several years ago finding him watching "Competition Putt Putt" because it was the only thing on ESPN

I love hockey "Go Leafs Go"
I played hockey as a kid and my son plays hockey now ( 6am weekends stink though)
I think it is without a doubt the best sport in the world :)

Blues got some kick ass players....

John Leclair seperated his shoulder last night.... from bad to worse in Philly!

I was at the game last night where leclair seperated his shoulder. Even though I hate the Flyers with a passion I was glad to see him get up because it was really ugly the way he went into the boards. Better a seperated shoulder than a broken neck.

Now Hockey is definitely more my style...hehe

Being born and raised in Toronto, and being that my entire family still lives there, a part of my heart will always cheer for the Leafs, but being that I've lived in Vancouver for the last 17 years I watch more Canucks games than Leaf games.

The Canucks are ROCKIN' right now! wooooohooooo! Winning 8 games straight now let's hope they continue the roll!!

Side Note: When I was in grade 5 my friend was the neighbour of Mike Palmatier (sp?), Leafs goal tender at the time....he picked us up from school one day and drove us home. I've been hooked on hockey ever since...hehe

Also, we were getting gas a couple of months ago and we ran into Murray Baron. He's got an awesome truck and a Rodesian Ridgeback puppy...hehe.

Lastly, as a teenager, we partied with Trevor Linden...woohoo!

Meeting hockey players is like meeting movie stars for me.....hahaha.

Ive met the Rocket Richard and a few Montreal legends... also, Jean Beliveau is somewhere in my family tree.

Me and my friends have an annual hockey pool (I have won 3 times out of 6 years - very lucky ).
Anyways, missed it this year unfortunately was out of town when the players were picked - they probably did it on purpose, so I wouldn't win again (joking)
Anyways, unfortunately I am in no pools this year :(

:hic Party was killer. Didn't have all that much fun, pulled security for the private party and later at the local pub to help keep order. It was held in Elk Washington. Got pics of the cup on his Harley. Way to cool
