I Never Learn

so i needed a messageboard script, i could have used one like this or Yabb, i don't know shit about mySQL, i could have got somebody to install it for me for maybe 30 dollars. But i decided to go look for another board and I see a FREE one that looks simple enough, doesn't need mySQL database, so i download it.

ok i've now spent minimally 20 hours on this fucker. even if you assume i'm a total idiot, which you wouldn't be too far off the mark if you did, and i'm worth no more than 7.50 an hour, i'm now at $150 for a messageboard that still sucks.

Look at it as an educational process. The lesson learnt is worth more than $150.
Companies call it "research" and spend millions on it.

Next time you need to install a forum, it will be a no-brainer.

ehehehe................. now i totally fucked it all up. i tried adding a mod so i could have smilies and dancing bananas like this board and HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO INTERNAL SERVER ERROR 500!!
