ok the new board has been up for a couple of weeks now so I thought it would be interesting to see how people are liking it or disliking it after some time had passed.

I like it. I also like the fact that the flat board is gone. I don't like to have to choose between the two.

yeah instead of 10 minutes catching up its more like an hour, and before you make it through you are back to the start of the list again.

I like it better this way because I can avoid threads that don't interest me when I'm in a hurry. Though the way they veer off topic, I've learned the topic doesn't always stay with the thread :zoinks:

The change in the board doesn't matter much to me, it's the people posting that make reading the board worthwhile not the format.

Chatting with CJ as she drove me to my first ex husband's wedding on Saturday, we wondered if it was possible for the board to load in a frame, so that all the flash adverts didn't have to load and reload every time we go into a topic?
It's the extra load time that stops me reading many of the topics...tho I do have to admit the threaded board (here at Oprano at least) is growing on me. :)

Edd, although i love the giant flash movie, its starting to piss me off. 12% system resources its taking up all by itsself right now.
lisa and I thought a frame would at least save from having to refresh it all the time and waiting for it to load ... I've had to start closing the board down when i'm done ;-(
I think the new computer in the box next to me might help, but it means i have to turn this one off for several minutes ;-((((

I miss the flat board just because it was like a dinner table. All sitting around and bullshitting, now its like a house party and you have to go into the different rooms to see what everyone is talking about.

CJ - i'll see if we can't slim it down some - the frame thing would work, but smaller resolutions would get all screwy - a lot of scrolling there.. :blink:
