View Full Version : 89k Huge Mailing List - Non-adult

I have an Access database that ranges from six months to one year all actual orders from an online project I partnered with.

These are actual credit card orders that include name, email, postal address, many with phone numbers, etc. The average ticket was $30.00 - and all credit card holders for a non-adult gadget type product.

There are aprox 89K and I'm assuming a few thousand are duplicates.

I don't want to promote adult sites even if they are all adults, there seems to be a lot of women on the list. I'm also not set up to handling bulk mail that size. Most of our newletter list are no more then 3000

Should I sell it? Who do I go to for something like that? Or should I find a mail server and market a non-adult product? I'd done lots of non-adult before.

What would you do?

Thanks

Contact me via email or ICQ if you'd like, I can certainly handle a setup like what you'd need to mail those out and double opt them in, or simply push products in a single-opt newsletter. I wouldn't sell it, 89k isn't worth much unless you're pushing it to a big business who overpays for leads.

Thanks, I might do that and just talked to my programmer on a solution should I choose to do that.

I don't think I'd have a hard time selling this list at all and would rather not fool with bulk mail right now. It's not really my business.

I wouldn't do it with anyone I didn't know really well. No offense to you cal.

I think this list would be perfect for a large company selling sex enhancements, pills, etc. It's a perfect list for that or if someone is selling non-adult cell phone products THIS is the list. We sold a cell phone product and it did very well.

No problem at all! No offense taken. Good luck with the list, as I said there are some legitimate list/lead marketing companies out there who would probably give you a decent amount. In this day and age 89k isn't what it used to be though.

It's not when 80% is AOL and hotmail or you don't have names. I can but 25 million so-called adult list and 24 mil will be 5 years old.

Thanks!

Are they even single opt-in or just somebody that had to give their email addy to join a site and gave no permission to send them emails?

Is is an actual database of orders (not including items or credit card numbers) of people who actually PAID to order and then checked a box to receive more offers.

Nothing was free.

That's a pretty small list. You would probably do better hitting it yourself with similar product offerings.

yep, unfortunately 89k in emails isn't worth that much these days

If there's lots of women in there, I wouldn't mind giving it a try .... but i doubt there's many sales in the list due to the size

wow I thought it was a lot considering the list. If it were only emails, not people who actually made cc sales that would be another thing right?

87k means probably that all the serious people doing bulk email (cough) :) have most of them anyway.
:)

Check your box though, I've replied.

I don't think so Nick- first of all they are direct type in from a TV commercial coming direct for a sale. It requires shipping so the addresses are part of billing. The type of product is a board demographic range.

No problem- I'm going to take advice and market some non-adult stuff. I think this would be a very very hot list for direct postal mail. In fact we did send out to it once for another product and got great results.

It's all about how you market-package and sell. Nick you know this better then anyone.

What's Happening, everyone?

If you want a great mailing program I just had a new one designed for me. It's called Cliff Claven.
Email me and I'll hook you up. My mood ring is saying I'm in a generous mood today so what the hell!

One more thing. Looks like a bunch of draft dodging hippies have invaded Oprano. I think maybe you tree huggers have been ingesting the old red dye #2 if you know what I mean. Haven't you read any recent factoids? The Republicans are in Power now. It really blows me away.

Have a nice day. Porn Power!

DV,

My other company which is involved in Investor Relations for listed companies, combines targeted email (by location if we are having a "do" in the region) with snail mail.

It is VERY profitable :)

and Colin, I love you too.But in the masculine way, not in the massaging buttocks with cocoa butter way. :)

I actually have hired direct mail companies for clients in the past and agree with you. When I tired selling the list everyone thought it was the standard opt-in harvested shit. This list has a lot of value for the right product and marketing.

So do you want to buy it or sell it to your customers?
