this is a cool new weapons us Navy is getting soon
This new Tomahawk can change direction and target while in flight.

but it gets even better

"" Those capabilities will allow cruise missiles to lurk in the sky over a battlefield for several hours until a suitable target is identified and its location is fed into the rocket's guidance system. ""

my penis has been doing all that since i was a teenager. i still sometimes "lurk in the battlefield" for hours until i find a suitable target. usually, i settle for a secondary target as i get more intoxicated and i thouht it was normal to switch targets in mid-flight.

At a cost of only $747 million to the taxpayer, not including development and research costs. Apparently our JDAMs and dumb bombs and laser guided artillery aren't good enough. We now need tactical missiles capable of delivering a nuclear payload! If we sell them to the Israelis they'll be able to take out all of Jenin from the safety of Tel Aviv.

Sure is an improvement on the days when they spent $800,000 doing R&D on the frisbee as a weapons system ...

and JR ... I sure as hell hope your selection of secondary targets while intoxicated is better than mine was. It's pretty depressing to make a high speed run on what appears to be Cindy Crawford, only to discover on closer (sober) inspection that the target acquired is Rosanne Barr ...

Or we could just stop investing in our armed forces and national defense. I hope you brush up on your Arabic.

I for one, prefer that we retain our place as the most powerful nation on the planet. That doesn't come without a little R&D ;)

You're right, let's cut funding to welfare and education and build 1,300 surgical nukes. Better brush up on your ebonics!

lets cut welfare and then train them as strike teams if they dont want to work or dont find employment in 90 days. then we can save money on rockets, tactical nukes AND government cheese. Cal can study ebonics and lead them into Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Better yet... Let's complain on Oprano where it will do a lot of good.

I love it when people bitch about politics. When was the last time you voted? Have you contacted your congressperson about your feelings?

Or do you just prefer to complain on messageboards?

Cal, first of all you might need help reading
they're $575,000 each, half the price of dumb Tomahawks :)

2nd selling them to Israel to bomb Jenin?
If Israel would do that, I WILL buy them one, or few

but Israel doesnt need Tomahawks to bomb Jenin, they can flatten Jenin without on their own.

i figured out a cheaper weapon than guided missiles.

send these two to debate their cause with them until they break and just
give up, once their ears start bleeding or their head explodes.

total costs:

plane tickets: about $1500.00 ea (see cheaptickets.com - enter area of conflict as "destination")
Hotel rooms: 2 @ 150.00 ea for 2 nights maximum.
meals: 50$/day x 2 days.

I gotta ask (for Cal's benefit)...How much is the life of a US soldier worth? Most Americans would rather send a missile than several thousand military people into a situation where they might be the target of a WMD...

JR I heard unconfirmed reports that your missle would normally explode at the slightest contact with a femae. Hence the nickname 5 second man.

Seriously though, the more technology we employ in war the more successful we will be.... and for places like Iraq -the ability to try and keep down civilian casualties....

Think our enemies wory about the same thing?

Well put, Torone :D

Hey, Cal, I think you're onto something. If we don't design new weapons, I'm sure no one else will. Better yet, maybe we should disarm unilaterally. After all, if we do away with nasty weapons surely others will feel our vibes, pick up on the positive energy change in our aura, and we can settle disputes by ... well, there just won't be any more disputes, will there? Kum-By-Yah for everybody tonight, right after the tofu dinner and group hug!

No, JR, I don't think Cal is the man to lead those "dont want to work or dont find employment in 90 days" off "into Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Pakistan and Afghanistan." He has admitted watching CNN, so his loyalty to a foreign idealology is clear; I suspect he believes in the liberal lie of the Religous Right as well. There are plenty of highly qualified people 'round here better able to lead "them." After all, "they" can be bought with a couple of packs of smokes and some fried chicken. Before you know it, some gawd-damn liberal will be advocating that they get cake, too.

Haha, knew I shouldn't have said anything!

Happy Veteran's Day all. :D
