What a great night, me and Mike went to Galatoire's and had a great dinner, the food was good the wine was better !! The only think missing was Vick !

I think we finally got all the plans finalized and the PHB will be a great party !

Mike W.... you ready to come to New Orleans and eat some great meals ? Let us know, Vick I think you can give a good review of Galatoire's !

and he was under 50 !!

And didn't look like he could work in a funeral home during the day?

There are so many incredible opportunities for excellent dining in New Orleans
The short list in no particular order (with the exception of Commander's Palace all are in the French Quarter)

Galatoire's -
Brennan's
Bayonna
Commander's Palace
Arnaud's
Irene's

there are so many more that could be mentioned here

and that's not including hole in the wall places like Coop's, Clover Grill and Angeli or anywhere you go for a po' boy or Muff

and not to forget botulism heaven 3 in the morning favorite - any Lucky Dog cart

The only places I will say NOT to dine are anything on the corners around Jackson Square - terrible for tourist garbage

and I hang my head that Lucky Cheng's is gone

need to see more - http://www.digitalcity.com/neworleans/dining/

Billy - I'd love to I just need to unshackle myself from this desk for a weekend lol. I'm always up for a great meal and great wine, heck when Serge goes on vacation I hardly have anyone else to go to dinner with down here!

A friend of mine *might* be going to N.O. for a weeks later on this month. They asked me to come visit them too .. so if I do manage to break away for a weekend I'd love to step out with you fellows one evening ;-)

It's hard to tell now, I get so busy around the holiday's you know.

:D

"Now I know what it's like to miss New Orleans"

and to quote one of my favorite authors

"New Orleans food is as delicious as the less criminal forms of sin."

and while the Alligator is gone I do still have some andouille sausage
