Will Emmit Smith continue to play for the Cowboys after this year with
a pay cut?
Maybe he will goto another team?

Myself, I think he will hang it up unless JJ figures out a way to
pay him more.

I think he'd hang it up before going to another team. How old is he anyway?

Emmit is 32 y/o.

They should take him out back and shoot him. That would be the humane way to put him down.

Ulfie,

rumor has it that Pittsburg is looking at a deal with him.

He may not quit but be forced out - sad as it is to say that it how it is under the salary cap
But Emmitt gets about 9 Million a year, the Cowboys have a young RB Troy Hambrick who is averaging over 4 yards per carry and is much less expensive
Free up 9 million a year and you can get more quality players

Will Emmitt play for another team?
Will another team pick up that huge salary?
Will Emmitt play for less?

In my mind Emmitt will always be a Cowboy - wouldn't look right in another uniform

We don't need another old man. We already have Bettis. :P

I think Emiitt would look to play again next year, for another team, if it is a superbowl contender. Something like Jerry Rice is doing.

If so, I hope he chooses a team better than Rice did.

Who is going to pay Emmitt 9 million a year
and as great as Emmitt he is not worth 9 million, he's not the 1 player to take a team to the Super Bowl

Best case ..... Emmitt takes less to stay as a Cowboy for 1 more year

or takes a cut and goes to a team who needs a marque player to help them fill seats

Vick,

I have heard numerous interviews with him and everytime he says
he will continue playing because he loves the game.
If thats the case, Money shouldnt be an issue.
We'll see next year how much he loves the game.
